Educational System in Zlín during the Period of the 1920s and 1930s

This article is concerned firstly with the reason of intensive dealing with the school question in the Zlín area after establishing of the independent Czechoslovak Republic, secondly with the realization of new pioneering reformative thoughts within pedagogical activities, thirdly with establishing of the experimental schools and finaly with the proposal of a totally new conception, organization and structure of schools in the whole Republic based on experience from Zlín.
Educational Laws in Relation to the Gradual Abolishment of Concordat from Year 1855

The Concordat between The Holy See and Austria from the year 1855 guaranted a privileged position to the Catholic Church in the sphere of education (supervision over schools and schoolbooks). After 1866 some laws concerning school were gradually passed, which infringed the rights guaranteed by the Concordat. It culminated with the so called Hasner Law from 1869. The Concordat itself was abolished by Austria in 1870.

Rights of Children Suffering from SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy)

The contribution reflects important documents on the issue of human rights of children in general and also of people with physical handicap. The aim of the contribution is to point out rights of children with severe physical handicap so that the quality of their life is not reduced and these children are included into the major society. In wiew of the fact that the 1st type of spinal muscular atrophy is the most dificult disorder and most patients must use intrapulmonary percussive ventilation, it opens the problem of education of these children.
Geoscience Education and Its Role in the Lower Secondary Education in Slovakia and in the Czech Republic

Geoscience education is education in the objects and phenomena in the inanimate nature. Geoscience education, as a part of natural education at low secondary schools, is integrated to educational fields Man and Nature and Man and Society in both the selected countries. I compare the percentage representation of natural education in educational programs of both the selected countries and contents of particular subjects oriented to geoscience education as well. I work exclusively with pedagogical documents of both the countries.
Religious Background of Secondary Schools with German Language Instruction in the Czech Lands

Grammar schools (Gymnasiums) with German language instruction were among the oldest schools in the Czech lands. Some of them were founded as church schools. It occurred either in periods when the Church had a monopoly on keeping educational institutions or when providing schools by an educational order appeared to be the easiest way. Such foundations were frequent as the language of instruction was Latin. In the 2nd half of the 19th century it was necessary to specify schools according to the language of instruction. The paper is focused on the analysis of the current state of ICT (information and communication technology) skills of teachers. As regards the ICT teacher training, due to the termination of government programs aimed at developing of ICT skills of the teaching staff a vacuum arose in this area and teachers have no longer an opportunity for further systematic training in this area. The Comparison of the Selection of Living Things in the Science Curriculum at Primary School in Different Educational Systems

This article deals with the comparison of the curricular content of the textbooks from point of view of knowledge of the water living things among pupils of the primary school. Ten textbooks (from Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Slovakia) were analysed and variance in quantity and selection of living thinks was discovered. The situation in the Habsburg Monarchy in the second half of the 1860s was not favourable for the Czech lands. This paper deals with different definitions of teachers, as the definition of a "good" teacher. A "Revolutionary" Project of an Educational Reform
