The article describes the analysis of final essays on Ethics by students of the blended form of study (Nursing, Health Care Management) at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Palacký University, Olomouc. A part of the blended study was carried out by means of e-learning with the distance study text Nursing Ethics as its main pillar.
The basis of evaluation of the final essays was represented by the content analysis method. The results according to each major were processed with the comparison method. On the basis of the results rooted in evaluation and comparison of all the final essays, some changes were made in the distance study text Nursing Ethics. Among the most important changes there were the implementation of didactic text, by means of which students prove they have learnt the basic ethic issues, as well as more frequent online discussions on required topics. These amendments helped overall improve the distance study text in practice.
In the current academic year a distance study text for Dentistry students is being prepared so that it can be used as one of the basic pillars for writing final essays. The preparation runs within the ESF project Innovation of the Study Disciplines at the Department of Social Medicine and Health Policy - Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry - Palacký University, Olomouc (reg. no. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/15.0292).
