Influence of metacognitive knowledge on writing quality of pupils attending elementary schools

This paper is focused on the process of text production by pupils attending elementary schools, particularly on its metacognitive level. The author points out a direct connection between a so-called metacognitive knowledge and quality of texts that pupils produce during the school years. The study presents possibilities for diagnostics within the area of metacognitive knowledge that plays an important role in the development of text competence of pupils as well as on evaluation of written essays of pupils attending elementary schools.
Diagnostics of speech comprehension in persons with neurogenic communication disorders

In terms of speech and language pathology, the main point of diagnostics in persons with neurogenic communication disorders - especially with aphasia - is a speech comprehension. The assessment of this difficulty is indispensable due to making differential diagnostics, establishing therapeutic plan and prognosis. Disrupted communication ability of pre-primary children from disadvantaged backgrounds as an interdisciplinary problem

This paper focuses on the situation, when disrupted communication ability of children limits their start of the school attendance. In the research part, we present a comprehensive description and understanding of the phenomenon, when adverse social conditions negatively affect a child from early childhood. Since this is a serious problem with an interdisciplinary overlap, it is necessary to create teams of experts that then provide necessary interventions and support for families where these children live.
Připravenost pedagogických pracovníků základních škol na výuku dětí s Aspergerovým syndromem

The article presents experience of elementary school pedagogues with teaching children with Asperger's syndrome. The main aim was to find out, analyse, interpret and describe readiness for teaching children with the syndrome based on quantitative research and semi-structured interview. Perceived Social Support from Classmates in Selected Roles related to Bullying

The paper presents partial conclusions from the research carried out by researchers at the Psychological Institute of AS and the Pedagogical Faculty of USB. The research focuses on social support from classmates at elementary schools as perceived by pupils in certain roles related to bullying. Perception of primary prevention concept by school club educators

In this paper, we present the results of research that focused on finding how school clubs' educators perceive a primary prevention concept. We used our originally designed semantic differential and submited the obtained data to exploration factor analysis through which we identified two factors. Use of After School Clubs and their influence on children from perspective of their parents

The After School Clubs (ASC) are an integral part of the lives of today's parents (especially the employed ones). The paper identifies the most frequent reasons of parents to place the their child in the ASC through a questionnaire survey which was conducted in the academic year 2016/2017 as well as the impact of ASC on the children from the perspective of their parents. There were a total of 121 completed questionnaires obtained from parents. In the paper, we deal with the root causes of adoption of children in the children's department of psychiatric hospitals, the provision of a specialist team and its tasks in the context of the child's hospitalization.
