Veronika Bárová, Dana Brabcová, Jiří Kohout
e-Pedagogium 2018, 18(1):16-32 | DOI: 10.5507/epd.2018.003
Prevalence of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) has been significantly rising in the last decades due to improvement in diagnostic and other factors. Not surprisingly, it also results in higher attention devoted to this issue in education. Despite the importance of the topic, no systematic study focusing on knowledge of ASD has been yet carried out in the Czech Republic, and there is no reliable test enabling quantification of this variable. Thus, we aimed to validate a 24-item test measuring knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and to explore the level of knowledge in Czech university students. The research was carried out on a sample of 328 students...

Monika Štrbová, Denisa Selická
e-Pedagogium 2018, 18(1):33-46 | DOI: 10.5507/epd.2018.004

Radek Vorlíček
e-Pedagogium 2018, 18(1):47-57 | DOI: 10.5507/epd.2018.005
In this article, I examine the process of social stratification in the school class, and record the context in which the inclusion or exclusion of those who are seen as the bearers of an identity other than the group dominant identity takes place, and whether it has the character of ethnic or social class. Special attention is paid to the interrelations among various sociodemographic categories. The article raises complex questions about the social inclusion and exclusion dynamics in educational settings. The article is based on qualitative inductive and ethnographic fieldwork. Ethnographic observations play a key role in this fieldwork.

Zuzana Danišková
e-Pedagogium 2018, 18(1):58-68 | DOI: 10.5507/epd.2018.006
Financial literacy has become a compulsory component of primary and secondary education through the National standard of financial literacy, with methodic helping teachers to expose topics in various subjects that are useful for the realization of its goals. From these efforts and a considerable amount of materials it could be concluded that FG gains more value than the sectional topics defined in state curriculum. On one hand, it is a preventive fashion wave following the issues of capitalism, but also a tool for educating economically active entities in the spirit of current neoliberal trends. FG certainly has opponents whose voices are not very...

e-Pedagogium 2018, 18(1):69-77 | DOI: 10.5507/epd.2018.007

The important facts have been taken into consideration, the process of teaching and the teacher's perceived efficacy are part of their self-efficacy. Globalization and the worldwide expansion of English has resulted in an increase in the number of English language teachers in recent decades....
