Instructions for authors

Texts fulfilling criteria for theoretical, review, methodological and empirical papers are continuously received by the editorial office. All papers sent to the editorial office are double-blind peer reviewed.

What is assessed in original papers is their originality, scientific and specialist contribution, application of adequate methodology and work with both Czech and foreign literature. Authors can also contribute to the increase of the journal’s citation index if they take into account works by other specialists who have already published their work in this journal.

The editorial office assumes that authors arrange proofreading of their papers before their submission; good translation in the case of papers in English.

The sizes of accepted papers are as follows:

Theoretical, review and research papers up to 30,000 characters, APA as the only citation norm.

  • It is always necessary to give an abstract and key words both in Czech/Slovak and English at the beginning of the text, following the title and the authors’ names.
  • Texts have to be divided into introduction, main part with adequate hierarchy of chapters and subchapters in decimal numbering, and conclusion.

Reviews and statements up to 5,200 characters

  • Reviews always have to give the full citations of reviewed publications.

Short notices up to 3,600 characters

  • Notices and information of specialist meetings, workshops, conferences.

At the end of all texts, i.e. articles and reviews, a short medallion of the author(s) and relevant contacts to the authors or to the lead author/corresponding author should be included. In addition, authors are requested to add ORCID and funding method to their contact details if the article was prepared within the framework of a project, grant, research task or otherwise financially supported.
