Burnout and subjective well-being of teachers

This article focuses on the issues of causes and consequences of teacher stress. Summarized are the findings of several research studies designed to detect sources of teacher stress and burnout. Attention is paid to the impact of burnout on subjective well-being, as well as variables that moderated the impact of job stressors and burnout on subjective well-being of teachers. These variables include coping strategies, social support and personality variables such as self-efficacy, self-esteem, locus of control.
