The starting point of this text is the question of humanity in the social sciences and pedagogy after six centuries of the existence of humanism. The text describes the evolution of humanism and its various appraisals. It deals with the problem of conceptualization of "humanism" and "human" as these concepts are philosophical or ideological, and not scientific. On the Problem of Didactics of Philosophy

The paper presents some problems of didactics of philosophy. Their solutions are not easy and are frequently very different in comparison with other sciences. On the basis of his many years' experience of lecturing, the author recommends methods preferring the historical approach to teaching of philosophy - in opposition to the systematic one. The choice of theoretical problems occurring in the history of philosophy is determined by the degree of their difficulty.

Based on the analysis of opinion development in the field of communication education and integration of knowledge after 1989, the author entitles some tendencies in education at elementary school based on current curriculum documents and concerning the didactics of all educational disciplines. The paper presents primary school teachers' authentic views on the occurrence of pupils' questions in mathematics lessons. The paper introduces the theoretical definition of dialogic teaching and the form of interaction between teachers and pupils. There are communication sequences between the teacher and pupils going on during the lessons, which are mobilized by questions and the potential of which is to activate the pupils' thinking. This paper shows a part of results of an interdisciplinary doctoral thesis that was written in University of West Bohemia, Faculty of Electrical engineering. The thesis deals with the Embedded platform for didactical aids development that could be used in field of didactical reeducation and pedagogical diagnostics. One of the aids was build and its contribution to praxis was verified by the experimental research. This shows that the embedded platform could be used in future didactical aids projects.

Determining the self-concept of coordinators for drug addiction prevention and other social and pathological problems in the context of Slovakia

In this study, the author presents the partial results of research carried out in Slovakia among coordinators for drug addiction prevention and other social and pathological problems. The research was focused on determining the self-concept of the function of prevention coordinator. As a result of the research sample, the research mainly shows the adaptation of a new research tool which could be applied in the conditions of the Czech Republic to determine the self-concept of the position of methodologist for school prevention.
