Competent Autoevaluation - a Part of School Quality

The contribution deals with the analysis of outputs of the qualitative research of the Methodology and Evaluation Centre, Ostrava University. Analysis was carried out within the ESF Projects oriented on the increase of quality of basic and secondary schools in the Moravian-Silesian region. The research was primarily focused on competent methodology of autoevaluation and external evaluation, its adoption, as well as its side aspects, for example ethic-didactic aspects of this new educational phenomenon.
