Transformations in Higher Education: Possibilities and Limits of Cooperative Learning

The article focuses on cooperative learning as an alternative to traditional frontal teaching in higher education. It draws on a three-phase research study conducted between 2019 and 2023 with students of a Spanish language teacher-training program. The first two phases compared the effectiveness of both instructional approaches, with slightly better outcomes in frontal teaching. The third phase explored students' subjective experiences and satisfaction with cooperative activities. Parents´ experiences with community music therapy for children with hearing impairment
