The principle of integrating educational content represents one of the key themes of the national curriculum developed within the framework of Slovakia's national curricular reform. The central question is to what extent curricular documents have the potential to integrate the educational content of individual learning areas. The aim of the research is to analyse the possibilities of content integration in the prescribed curriculum in the context of mathematics education and to identify key concepts in educational areas that show content and conceptual overlaps. A qualitative research strategy was applied. The research sample consisted of the content standards of the educational areas of the state educational program in the first cycle of basic education. Through open coding, overlaps in content were identified, and categories were created based on the identified codes, which were subsequently visualised using concept maps. The results indicated that the national curriculum for the first educational cycle in the context of mathematics education has the potential to integrate educational content. An overview was developed of the concepts within the educational area Mathematics and Informatics whose acquisition can also be supported through the content of all other educational areas. At the same time, an overview was compiled of the concepts from all educational areas that extend into the Mathematics and Informatics domain.
Keywords: curriculum, Mathematics and Informatics domain, content integration, content analysis.
