The article brings a short information on contemporary state of the education of gifted children in Czech republic. The author points to the necessity to respect special attitudes towards gifted children and recommends to realize their education within the framework of special education as the persons with special needs.

The precise formulation of the intentions of the educational programmes' authors depends on the incorporation of the elements creating the frame structure of the educational programmes. The article presents a summary of the structural components of the selected educational programmes. The focus of the article is in the presentation of the use of the exemplification tasks in educational programmes; the basic theoretical starting points of this problematics are attached.

This article contains knowledge about evaluation of the text difficulties of 6 actual Czech biology textbooks for the seventh year of the primary education. Two methods were implemented. One of them was realized according to NESTLER-PRŮCHA-PLUSKAL and the next one according to PRŮCHA. Similar results of the text difficulties were obtained by both methods: 32,22 points and 31,81 points. Lower variability was achieved by method NESTLER-PRŮCHA-PLUSKAL. It shows that this method is more suitable for the evaluation of the text difficulties. The sequence of the textbook difficulties was the same at both evaluation methods. A Comparison between Contemporary Children's Functional Development at the Age of 7 up to 15 and the Reference Standards of the Functional Development in year 1987 in the Czech Republic

By means of a functional test, there were 1189 children tested in the years 2001 and 2002 (615 boys and 574 girls). All of them from the Olomouc region and between 7 and 15 years old. For monitoring the blood circulation efficiency there was a load test, so called 'Ruffier's Test' used. During testing, it was shown that girls react to a standard physical load by a higher heart frequency than boys do. Thanks to the Ruffier's Test, it was found out that 54,47 per cent of the boys and 44,20 per cent of the girls are on the average of physical efficiency. 23,25 per cent of the boys and 43,20 per cent of the girls belong to the category under the average...
