Supervision serves as an independent support for professionals mainly in the filed closely dealing with relationships and emotions. In most schools, however, supervision is either an unknown concept or it is often misinterpreted. Additionally, the process of its implementation in schools has not been really explored, which significantly affects further development of supervision as well as its effectiveness. The aim of the research was to perform an analysis and describe the current attitude of pedagogical staff members in education towards supervision. The research was done using a qualitative strategy, a method of questioning using the technique of uncontrolled interview. Pedagogical staff members (teachers as well as directors) of the Pilsen district schools were addressed. The results were processed by the method of bunch formation and they indicate the alarming fact that across all schools, the method was incorrectly applied and thus, the experience was mainly negative.

Keywords: pedagogical staff members, teachers, directors, supervision, supervision in school.
