Process of Obtaining Visual Experience of Deaf Artists

The paper deals with research results of a theoretical work (thesis) focused on enhancing the understanding of art work of Deaf people. The specialist study provides deeper insight into the art in Deaf culture. The aim is to describe and interpret the process of obtaining visual experience of selected Deaf artists. Deeper understanding leads to formulation of significant principles the subject of the Art in relation to the deaf pupils at primary schools. The general principles can support the motivation, unblock creativity and hold the ability to express through art. From the point of general methodological, the work is a qualitative study - an analysis of interviews and other data obtained from deaf visual artists in the design of grounded theory. Findings from the research are presented in the context of current theories and frame the concept of the subject of Art in relation to the deaf pupils.
