- Prof. PhDr. Vladimír Smékal, CSc., Fakulta sociálních studií MU, Katedra psychologie, Joštova 218/10, 602 00 Brno, tel.: +420 549 496 617, e-mail: smekal@fss.muni.cz
The aim of this contribution is to show the place of ethic education in forming social, civic and political culture of personality. The message characterizes and explains the relationships between everyday civic and political culture of children, youth (and also grown up people), and acquiring ethical norms. The study is based on the interpretation of recent theories of moral personality development and on the knowledge concerning the personal and social determination of civic and political behavior - with regard to risky and protective formative conditions. The conclusion summarizes practical recommendations for ethical education at school and outside school.
The contribution paper proceeds from the lecture presented on the conference "Ethics in Education". The Conference was realized by the Czech Educational Society and Faculty of Education on 10th February 2010. The study is a programming material and is based on a conceptual analysis of existing knowledge about the topic.
