The contribution attemps to cover the problem of homeland study lessons in nowadays schools as well as to engage the q	uestion of preparation of students becoming primary school teachers. The aim is to inform about research results realised during the year 2000 at sophisticated Czech Teacher training Departments - Palacky University in Olomouc, Masaryk University in Brno and Charle´s University in Prague.
