Pohyb, čas a prostor v hudbě

The author concentrates on some aspects of the relation of movement, time, space and music, beginning with the philosophical conceptions (H. Bergson, L. Bielawski "band theory of time") till the views musically theoretical, aesthetic and especially psychological. The key is the notion of musical time, related here to the extra-musical time (e.g. physical /astronomical/, ecological, biological, historical etc.). From these kinds of "extra-musical time", the most important is the physical time (duration of a certain musical segment in minutes, seconds etc.). It is continual, totally "objective", and remains the main empirical basis for the study of a musical event from the point of view of time. The musical structural time, i.e. the musical time, is expressed by the richness of the inner structuring of the whole. It is subjektive, experienced and not always measurable (its length depends e.g. on the interpreter´s subjective choice of pace, including a subjective measure of agogics, length of rests, holds and so like) and is given mostly by the number of times, periods or by help of other structural segments e.g. for the ametrically created music. Final part of the study is focused on space dimension of music.
