DIAGNOSTICS OF SPEECH DISORDERS IS A PART OF THE WHOLE SPEECH THERAPY CARE

This article gives an overview of the diagnostic approaches by persons who have had an orofacial surgery. Nowadays there is no system in the speech treatment of these persons and therefore speech therapy diagnostics is only just beginning.
The aim of the speech diagnostics by persons who have had an orofacial surgery is in an accurate diagnostics. A well-performed diagnostics is a one of the baselines for following speech rehabilitation.
The article shows various tests and methods used in the speech therapy diagnostics connected to rhinolalia and dyslalia that are one of the most frequent types of speech disorders by persons who had an orofacial surgery.
