Discipline in school has historically been an integral part of educational practice. However, with the emergence of alternative teaching trends and the emphasis on constructivist teaching the call to weaken the power of the school and the authority of the teacher emerge. 9th graders' perspectives on distance learning

The paper presents an insight into the life of one class during one academic year. The presented qualitative study uses the unique situation of repeated school closures in 2020 and 2021 and monitors the immediate impressions and development of the attitudes of eighth and ninth graders towards distance learning. The research took place in three phases, of which the first monitored the pupils' expectations and next their experience with distance learning after the repeated closure of the school. This article deals with the teaching of modern Hebrew and is the result of the project IGA_FF_2022_033 Towards the didactics of small languages: Hebrew at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Olomouc. The authors draw attention to the difficulties associated with the teaching of small and exotic languages at universities, especially the lack of didactic training and methodological support for teachers of these languages.
