The article presents research dealing with selected problems of gifted pupils and their social position at ordinary elementary schools. This is analysed from the view of teachers and also gifted pupils. This current data are compared with data from the ELSPAC study collected in the school year 2002/2003. Research tools were two types of questionnaires: the Questionnaire for teachers and the Questionnaire for children, which were administrated in the school years 2002/2003 and 2011/2012. The research sample comprised of pupils from fifth grades, who were evaluated by their class teachers. Among the results are for example significant increase of selected problems of gifted pupils and deterioration of their social position.
