Education of Headmasters and Their Competences

Author is a manager the Education Management Centre, at the Faculty of Education at Charles University Prague. His contribution is focused on some questions of managerial competence of school headmasters with regard to the revision of the educational system in the Czech Republic.
He presents the results of the realized national project Successful headmaster and he compares its results with the point of view of the project participants. He confronts the requierements posed to the headmasters with their professional preparation.
