An evaluation of moral values, goals, and attitudes in a sample of adolescents from the Olomouc and Zlin region

Adolescents represent a mirror of all the society. With the support of data acquired by quantitative and qualitative research we can say that the contemporary teenage generation has a good potential and is a healthy element of our society. It is not necessary to correct the values and attitudes of the young, it is rather necessary to amend the very course of the educational process. There is no need to motivate the young to and orientation other than the hermeneutically and historically conditioned one. The improvement of the course and results of the educational process depends on the improvement of the relationship between a teacher and a student.
The most important aim of the young is to set up a fully functional family. The material background is also important but only as a matter providing the fami9ly, the basic unit of the society. The education of the respondents plays a specific role and choosing the school is closely related to the intellectual family background. Young Czech people don't derive their values from religion. The heteronymous morality principles (Ten Commandments, evangelical postulates of morality or postulates of transcendental ethics) still have a minimal influence on the behavior of adolescents.
