Means of augmentative and alternative communication and their current usage

This paper examines the application of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) techniques. Teachers of preparatory classes in Czech special schools participated in this study. They were questioned about the usage of AAC in their work. Opinions on the efficiency of AAC for the education of the mentally handicapped were elicited and obstacle for the application of AAC were identified.
