The analysis covers a comparison of future teachers and students of physical culture and natural science. The monitored variables present significant factors influencing the quality and level of university study and overall academic performance. The results of the survey indicate significant differences in the different variables in terms of gender differences and selected study specialization. The results of the study enrich the current theoretical background and are applicable in everyday work with students in the area of educational and psychological counselling in university. ER
