AB  - The paper deals with the organization of special professional training for staff of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, which is irreplaceable for it, given the absence of alternatives in public and private education, that would directly prepare candidates for employment in this particular occupational field.A part of paper is a brief description of penology - the study of prison management, that must be a part of training of experts of various branches after entering the Prison Service. The paper also introduces possible ways of cooperation between the Prison Service and educational institutions of various types, in terms of facilitating internships and excursions in this organizational units of the institution.
