AB The contribution deals with the current state of speech in people living in the North Moravia. It is focused specifically on the issue of the Lassko dialect in Ostrava, Karvina which, from the linguistic point of view, includes two sub-dialects of the Silesian dialect (the Eastern-Ostrava subtype and the Polish-Czech mixed lane) having many common characteristics.
