AB The article presents partial results of a research carried out as a part of a large research project GAČR 406/06/0731 - Community Systems in Re-socialisation Facilities for Adolescents. This project analyses re-socialisation and re-education facilities for adolescents. The author deals with the role of parents in the process carried out by the facility. In particular, she analyses how the parents can join the re-socialisation process.The article describes the role of parents of children placed in the above mentioned facilities and the relationship between the parents and the facility staff and the probation officers working with the family.
