AB  - The paper provides new information about the legal (and also factual) status of disabled people at the time of the Roman Empire. For the first time in the Czech Republic, data about legal aspects concerning the rights of people with disability at that time are presented in a publication of special educational and educational character. The article also deals with the statues, and role of guardians of these people. As a whole the paper allows new insight in the true status of the disabled in the Roman Empire.
