AB  - Multimedia and multimedia technologies find nowadays large possibilities of applications. The paper describes basic classification of multimedia technologies, multimedia services and multimedia components that are nowadays used. Education of multimedia and multimedia technologies is a part of educational module in education of informatics' teachers on Department of Education on Tomas Bata University in Zlín. It is a specifical technical subject in a big spectrum of pedagogical problems in this area.
