AB This article contains knowledge about evaluation of the text difficulties of 22 actual Czech biology textbooks for the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth year of the primary education. Evaluation methods were realized according to PRŮCHA. Obtained results of text difficultes slowly increased from 29,65 points (textbooks for the sixth yeaer of the primary education) to 34,31 points (textbooks for the ninth year of the primary education). Textbooks of SCIENTIA publishing company and SPN publishing company achieved the lowest text difficulties
